Restaurant Loewenstein in Goettingen

Great meeting place with nice staff and a sumptuous breakfast. However, I have already tried various wines and dishes here - everything is homemade and tastes great. Dogs and children are also welcome. Can especially recommend the Löwenstein breakfast!

We passed by in Göttingen on our way home and had the most wonderful meal in Restaurant Löwenstein. Freshly prepared ingredients, extremely tasty - and the marvellous all-in-one cook and waiter etc. cooked and served all by himself elegantly and with a smile. We will surely visit restaurant Löwenstein again and recommend to visit this restaurant with our hearts.

Absolutely great. Had Shakshuka, which was completely unknown to me before, and it was really a revelation in terms of taste. I came across the restaurant (can you call it that?) By chance and can recommend it to anyone who wants to try "something different". The restaurant is also very family-friendly, there is a kind of small children's room and also a kinky blanket for the very little ones.

Very, very tasty, high quality food! A taste experience that you haven't seen before. Details and special spices are special here. The fresh preparation took a while, but it was really worth it!

We love going to the "Löwenstein" because we like the delicious food and the atmosphere. It's easy, you can also come with small children and are welcome, even if they are noisy :) The carrot soup and the falafel are just awesome and highly recommended!

Very tasty food, friendly service, reasonable prices! The only chef cooks each menu himself, so there are longer waiting times when there is a high demand, if you know that and adjust to it, it is always worthwhile. We recommend!

Very nice service and delicious food

Today we enjoyed the freshly prepared food in a cozy atmosphere and will definitely come again!

I came here with a relatively large group of friends (eight people). When we came in there was only one other table of two people. It took an extremely long time for the wait staff to take our order (~25 minutes) and an even longer time to get our drinks and food (~30-40 minutes). All the members of the group ordered a drink and only half of ordered food. Prices are reasonable and the food was fresh but the hot chocolate tasted like it came from powder. Even though the food was relatively good, I don't think I would come back knowing I would wait for such a long time once more.

It's not quite vegetarian, since fish is definitely on the menu. Otherwise you don't go wrong if you go there.

We enjoyed the dishes and drinks very well. Service really nice. Families and toddlers friendly!

Today (January 4th) we had to have a very bad experience here: although there were hardly any guests in the restaurant, we had to wait well over an hour for the food (for veg. Spaghetti !!!!! and aubergine casserole). The waitress didn't appear at all, but the cook came at some point, but he spoke hardly any German. And no: the service did not suddenly fail, but improvised between the cash register and the kitchen. (Small Bonmont: fork and KNIFE as cutlery with the spaghetti.) All in all, the guests who came after us fared no better. And it didn't taste really good either (after 1.5 hours you are understandably not very uncritical anymore). On top of everything, probably because of existing language problems, not a word of explanation or apology. In the end, the € 27.30 was the worst investment in a long time. Maybe you shouldn't see it as a restaurant at all, but rather as a cultural association. For us it was definitely the last after a total of three visits there. In retrospect it also explains why there were hardly any guests on a Saturday evening ....

We recently visited the Löwenstein in pairs (on Fri. 1.11.19 around 12:30 p.m.). Apart from us, there was only one gentleman in the dining room who was swinging between the piano and his table. We took off our jackets, took a seat and waited. When after 8 minutes there was still no one to greet us or even ask us what we wanted, we left. A very big disappointment and definitely not recommendable after this experience. Pity!

We were the first time in Löwenstein and are thrilled. The food was delicious and the nice ambience invites you to linger. As already mentioned, you should also bring some time. But it's worth the wait!

Yesterday I did not add a review for time reasons. Get it here with pleasure. We liked it very much and we felt very well. Especially the friendly service is really to be praised.

Authentic Israeli cuisine! Insanely delicious dishes that were not only fresh, but also homemade! The service is above average friendly and we love to come back when we are in Göttingen. Thanks for the wonderful lunch ♥ ️
